Reviewing Tasks (Brand Salesperson)

⚠️ Some small parts of this page may show the "Alligator" (previous) version of BrandBlum - the page is being updated to the "Buffalo" (current) version.

Brand Salesperson

✔️ The Retail Store cannot submit tasks until the Program starts unless the Brand Marketer explicitly sets up the task as "Task Starts Before Program."

Accessing Tasks

Before you review the task that the retail store submitted, you'll need to go to the store page for the Program. From the Program Summary screen, click on the See Store for the Store you want to view, under "Stores Participating".

✔️ See the "red dot" in the Retailer dropdown and on the Store Card? This indicates that the Store has submitted program tasks that require your review and approval.

Once you are in the Store Detail page, you'll be able to review the Tasks. Just scroll down to the Tasks section (1, in the screenshot below).

Task Review

When a Store submits a Task, it is displayed in deep blue with a bell icon and marked as "Awaiting Review" (2, above). You can review the submitted Task by clicking on it.

You'll see a task review popup with the Task name and any files and notes that the Store provided.

Here's what each part means:

1. Task: At the top, you'll see the task, which is the action required of the Store.

2. Files: If the Store submitted files, you'll see them here.

3. Task Comments: Any notes, comments, or feedback from the Store regarding the task. You'll notice that these show the name of the user as well as the date and time that the user submitted the comments.

4. Approve Task button: You'll click this button to approve the Task.

5. Reject Task button: If you want to reject the task, click this button and provide an explanation when asked.

6. See History: Clicking here will show you the task submission history for this task for this store. This is helpful if you reject the task and need to see prior submissions when the store resubmits the task.

7. X (Close) button: To close this popup without approving or rejecting the Task, click the X button. The task review popup will automatically close if you approve or reject the task.

⚠️ Note that the Brand Marketer can set up different task types with different task attributes. These may show differently on the Task Review popup, depending on what the Brand Marketer has determined when they set up the program.

If the Store completed the Task completed successfully, click the Approve Task button. If the Task needs more information or was not correctly completed, click the Reject Task button. When you reject a task, you'll be asked to provide an explanation in the "Explanation" box and click the Reject Task button. The Store will see that you've rejected the Task and will see the explanation you've provided, so it's important to be clear on what the Store needs to do to complete the Task successfully.

If you reject the Task, it will remain blue, but the icon will change to an hourglass and be marked as "Awaiting Resubmission" (circled below), indicating that you're waiting for the Store to resubmit the Task. The Store will be able to review your rejection explanation and resubmit the task.

Once the Store resubmits the rejected Task, the icon will change back to a bell. You can click on the Task like you did before and either approve or reject it by clicking the appropriate button. You can reject a Task and have the Store resubmit it any number of times.

✔️ If you repeatedly reject the same Task, it's a great practice to talk with the Store directly (outside of BrandBlum) to resolve any confusion or misunderstanding.

Once you approve the Task, it will turn green with a checkmark icon.

✔️ The status of the Task is indicated visually. Tasks that have been successfully completed by the Store and approved by you are green, with a checkbox icon. Tasks ready for your review are blue, with a bell icon. Blue tasks with no icon are tasks that the store has yet to submit.
